This work explores the early years of St. Norbert Colleges 53-year relationship with the Green Bay Packers the longest between any college and NFL team. The author, award-winning sportswriter Cliff Christl, focuses on 1959-68, the years when legendary coach Vince Lombardi was with the team. The story is told via interviews of people associated with the team Norbertine fathers at the college; players and coaches; members of the media; neighbors, local businesspeople and Lombardis own son and daughter. This book is the first volume to appear off the St. Norbert College Press.
